生活型

形態特徵

  • Shrubs ca. 2 m tall.
  • Leaves subcoriaceous, brownish or pale yellow, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 9–15 cm long, 3–6 cm wide, apex acuminate or acute, base acuminate or obtuse, margin entire, lateral veins 12–13 pairs, parallel to margin and curved at ends, silky hairs below, petiole 1–1.5 cm long.
  • Flowers white; calyx 1.5–5 mm long; corolla tube 1.3–1.8 mm long, lobes 4–6 mm long, 6 mm wide; pedicels 1–1.5 cm long.
  • Follicles lunate, long caudate at apex, over 2 cm long, 1 cm in diam., pedicel 1 mm long, peduncle 3 cm long; seeds 6 mm long, 3 mm wide.
  • This species is very similar to the commonly cultivated T. divaricata (L.) R. Br. ex Roem & Schultes, but the former differs by its numerous primary lateral veins and pubescent inner surface of the calyx.

分布

  • 台灣 : naturalized and scattered in forests at low altitudes in the south Taiwan.
  • 世界 : Micronesia to the Philippines.
